Check-in
From 2:00 pm* to 10:00 pm - Late check-in is charged at ZAR 250 unless otherwise arranged.
On-request guests are required to show photo identification and credit card upon check-in
You'll need to inform the property what time you'll arrive.
*Check-in times could be delayed by up to 2 hours on occasion this will be communicated in advance.
Check-out
10:00 am. Late check-out fee will be charged and deducted from the deposit @ ZAR 250 per hour. No later than noon can be arranged. Subject to availability.
Cancellation/prepayment
Guest forfeits 100% of the total if canceled within 60 days before arrival.
A 50% Deposit is payable to secure the booking. Payment can either be made via EFT or online card transaction.
All amounts payable must be made 30 days before arrival.
Deposit - Damage / Cleaning / Lost Key
A damage deposit of ZAR 500 per unit is required on arrival. This will be collected as an EFT, or card transaction.
Please note that payment done via our card machine service will include a fee of ZAR 50.00*
In case of damage, a cost will be determined. If the damage exceeds the available amount, the guest is liable for the cost.
Any broken glass or crockery will be replaced with a full set of 4 if we can not replace it with a similar item.
If the property is left in a less-than-satisfactory condition**. A cleaning fee of ZAR 500 may be charged and deducted from the deposit.
Lost key is charged at ZAR 500.
You will be reimbursed within 7 business days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full* via bank transfer, subject to an inspection of the property. Please make sure to provide us with your banking details for the refund payment.
Children and beds
Children of any age are welcome. Cots are available on request.
Children 13 years and above will be charged as adults at this property.
There is no capacity for extra beds at this property.
The maximum number of cots allowed depends on the room you choose. Please check the maximum capacity for the room you selected.
Cots are subject to availability. A supplemental damage deposit may be requested, subject to the number and ages of children.
Airconditioning and Heaters
There is an optional usage charge of ZAR100 per day.
Age restriction
The minimum age for check-in is 20.
Parties
Parties/events are not allowed. Breaking this rule will result in the immediate cancellation of the booking, and no refund will be paid for days lost.
Quiet hours
Guests must be quiet between 21:00 and 09:00. Any noise disturbances during any hours will result in a warning followed by cancellation of the booking. Breaking this rule will result in the immediate cancellation of the booking, and no refund will be paid for days lost.
Pets
Pets are not allowed.
Smoking
No smoking is allowed in any of our properties. Use designated areas for smoking. Brackenfell units have private patios to smoke. Cederberg only allows smoking in the parking or open garden/braai/pool areas. No smoking is permitted on the stairways or doorways. A penalty fine of R500 applies.
Alcohol
Moderate consumption is allowed within your apartment or dedicated patio area. No alcohol is permitted in communal braai/pool or parking areas. A penalty fine of ZAR 500 applies.
Extra guests of visitors
Non-paying guests or visitors are not allowed unless made via a prior arrangement, which may incur an added cost. ZAR 500 per extra guest or visitor will be charged. If not paid, it will result in the immediate cancellation of the booking, and no refund will be paid for the days lost.
Cleaning or washing service
All our units are self-catering and not serviced. You receive the following upon check-in: a clean unit with fresh linen and towels. Linen and towels are changed once a week unless otherwise arranged. Cleaning staff can be booked for ZAR 350 per visit. A washing service is offered in-house at Brackenfell, and a drop & collect service is available at Cederberg (next to the pool clubhouse). Cost varies.
Pool (Cederberg Estate)
When the clubhouse is booked for a private event, the pool area will be closed and off-limits for all residential tenants and guests. This only happens a few times a year. A note will be displayed at the pool with the time it is closed that particular day. Children are not allowed without adult supervision.
